Flower Painting Group

The Flower Painting Group usually meets at the Holy Cross Church Community Room, Chapel Lane, Lichfield on the first Friday of each month from 1.30pm to 3.30pm.

Our Facebook page and the Newsletter will advise of any date or venue changes. Membership numbers are limited so please contact Valmai to check there is a space available.

A small charge applies per meeting per person: currently £2.00 as a contribution towards refreshments, venue hire and insurance.

This is a friendly group and we are very happy to welcome newcomers to try us out, but anyone interested in attending regularly is required to be a full member of the  Society in order to comply with our insurance conditions. Click here to apply for membership.

The group does not have a regular tutor but instead members bring along their own projects and share tips with one another. Occasionally, a member will give a short demonstration of a technique. 

Members use a variety of mediums and styles but the central theme of our work is floral / nature. From time to time we hold full day workshops with a professional tutor and, in the summer, we might meet outdoors for some plein air painting in local gardens. We have also held several exhibitions in conjunction with Erasmus Darwin House in Lichfield.
